Thoughts on your HWC experience: Being on stage at the HWC was an unreal experience for me. Having not competed in the last 6 years I was very excited to step on stage and couldn't have picked a better show to prepare for. The quality of competitors in each class and the entire show were amazing and even though it was a competition there were no competitive egos backstage. The comradery shown by all the competitors backstage made the experience so much more enjoyable. Everyone was willing to help each other out and lend a helping hand. Then there is Melvin Anthony. Being able to see the best poser in Pro bodybuilding perform 4 weeks out from the Olympia was to say the least unreal. He stayed back stage with all of the competitors during the whole show, not too many Pros would do that today. The most enjoyable part of the show for me I would have to say was when my name and number was called out for the overall title. Having Fraser and Rob raise my arms and present me with the Conan sword made the 13 weeks of hell and dieting all worth it, without a doubt. Competing in the HWC provides you with memories that will last a lifetime. I'll be back.
Any other comments you'd like to share...ie dieting, training, etc: When it comes to dieting for a show I like to keep things simple. Eat clean, don't cheat and you'll get shredded. Personally, I don't believe in cheat meals. I look at them as weakness. If you want to increase calories during dieting to shock the body then throw in an extra chicken breast or sweet potatoe with your meal. If your going to diet for a show do it right or don't do it all, why wouldn't you want to come in at your best!
